Media Player File View

Another thread...

Probably asked elsewhere.... The Media browser player view is rubbish... Cover art stretched and distorted...

Will post a picture but my phone just died :(

I use Twonky Media on my NAS and access it over the network. I want my movies displayed a little better (bigger) cover art not distorted... I don't want an app but hopefully I could just change the view. Photos and music both have different folder views, maybe there is a file I can change to get options on how folders/files are displayed.

Also is there a way I can add a network location as the SEARCH button area? I never use it as I never search any of the 'areas' it searches.

Below you can see the various type of folder and media views.

I would like to be able to choose the view...

Maybe options in twonky?

Search button.

You can see the search as is. would really like to use this search to search my network(twonky media server) videos.

Think you would need to find the file that shows the librarys/search areas and change it to include the network(twonky media server) videos.
In my case I would only want to search network videos.

OK, OK. You can use the search to search network files using All Share!

At the bottom of the last picture you can see the Films and TV Shows. How often does this change? (If ever).

I'd prefer if were random. It only shows 3 or 4 pages, maximum of 21 titles (cover art) These only enter the title in to the search... Searching 'Avatar' by selecting the cover art will bring up both 'Avatar 1080p' and 'Avatar 3D' both on my network drive (believe it or not, I have never watched Avatar).

I don't know why but it seems to display 3 times for each search even though there is only 1 file. Why is this?

If I were to search 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Shores' or '2001: A Space odyssey' it wont show anything because of the ':' in the file name. ':' is an illegal character I have tried meta tagging the file (something I hate) it didn't seem to make any difference. (I use MetaX for iDevice .mp4 tagging) most of my movies are .mkv.... What's the best tagger?

However, searching 'True Grit' works perfectly, shows both new and old version.
