Need help with UE40ES6100 / firmware

Hi everybody.

I would love if you could assist my troublesome TV.

I have this Slim Samsung LED TV (UE40ES6100) which takes forever to update the official firmware via wireless (stable link 20/20, stable wireless router with nice reception), so I decided to give it a try via USB. Didn't tried LAN.
I've read the HOW-TOs, but the TV was unable to find firmware data on my USB.

I've downloaded the firmware from http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owner ... ES6100FXZA and extracted it into the root my USB after a quick FAT32 format (or NTFS format), but my TV doesn't see any FW data, although all files are present on the stick.

**Did I downloaded the correct firmware?

...then, I've found SamyGO! I love hacks and tools I must admit, but I'm still a little bit confused about all.

Is my TV compatible with SamyGO? Should I give it a try? What do I get by updating my fw to SamyGO?

Basically I just want the youtube app to buffer the media and smoothly play youtube content without lagging :)

Thank you very kind in advance.

You have downloaded wrong firmware. You need search it on European samsung site, because your TV is european moder (UE), but you checked firmware for UN = American model. It is correct that tv won`t see this firmware upgrade on USB.

All other question related to SamyGO: spend a little time here, on E series forum and wiki, then you start understand what it is and what it is eatable with :)

Thank you for your quick reply.

I've read that after installing new official firmware I might be unable to flash SamyGO..and I have to admit I really want samba :)

I've already read the compatibility list, but I couldn't found mine. Does that mean it's not supported?

And another thing I forgot to mention is that I couldn't find my TV model under Samsung Europe (UK) support/download site.. Model 40" F6200 Series 6 Smart Full HD LED TV is the nearest.. *confused*

Why don`t you check samsung downloads for other countries? Firmware for ALL EU models same series is same.

btw, if you`re going to use SamyGO, i don`t recommend to install latest firmwares. If everything is ok on your TV, no need for firmware update, This is golden rule.

1-Hold down the EXIT button on the remote for about 15 seconds. It will prompt you to reset, select YES then ENTER.

2-If that doesn't fix the issue, try this methods and it depends on your TV model:(try to turn off your TV after doing any one of these method for a minute then power it on ).
Method 1
Put TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu.

Method 2
Turn the power off. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 8, 2, Power in sequence.

Method 3
With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.

Method 4
With the TV in standby, press the {SLEEP} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.

Method 5
With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {MENU} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.

Method 6
With the TV in standby. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 1, 9, Enter in sequence.

3- if also doesn't work try watching this YouTube video :

4-If also doesn't work don't try to reset your EEPROM ,this can be dangerous, just contact Samsung support in your country to be in the safe side.
