Hi.

Is this possible to HDMI-CEC was working on UE42F5000 Samsung TV ?? Maybe alternative software, or some different way??

I know that this is not SmartTV and i does not support Anynet+ but model F5300 does. Is there any possible way to install firmware from F5300 on F5000 or this is a hardware issue??

Thanks

I`m Newbie here and a friendly Hello to all in this really nice forum. I`ve bought last year - quick and dirty- a UE42F5000 because of a sudden death of my Philips 42PFD7403D/10 (Backlightstarting-Prob because of ... maybe some desiccated Condensators on Mainboard/Powersupply).

I`m using (connected to UE42F5000 via HDMI) a Sat-STB Xtrend ET9200 with current-always actual OpenPli-Firmware. It is really nerving, to shut down/starting both with 2 Remote-Controls every day. I suggest, it would be only some patching bytes in the Firmware, to activate this option. (For DEVs and similiars normaly no great effort? )

Sorry if I`ve missed somthing to this Prob using internal Forum-Search.

TX for a little statement/advice

Sure we can work on a patch for our issue :) Just install SamyGO in Smart Hub and all we go :)

TX @sectroyer and sorry about my question. So tell me plz how to get access to my TV? LAN-Support? I cant find somthing to plugin? or does there exist some hidden Access under the rear cover? USB? Possible to plugin a usb-wlan-stick an configure it? Last chance may be soldering JTAG/LAN-Chip or simliar on Mainboard?

No you don't have to open anything. Just find smart hub (it should be in manual). When you find smart hub you will be able to install apps :)
