Hi everybody,

I hacked my TV (LE32C650) some time ago (perhaps years?). Yesterday I tried a little bit with some settings, ending up with a complete reset of the TV. I have no idea how that worked out but nevertheless, I now have to hack the TV again.
When I looked into the Wiki, there do not only exist several methods (Internet@TV, HotelMode) but for every method again several submethods. So I just looked arbitrarily at one. It suggested to download some file and just use this file on the USB stick. The file is located on megaupload, which we all know have gone a time ago.

My question is: which of the methods in the Wiki are still working and is giving me back root access to my TV? I cant use "the old version", because it was ages ago, I have several new computers since then and my USB sticks have other data on it.

use Widget way if supported by firmware. Else you can install prepatched firmware via our DNS, or use other method, found here. Nothing changed. Just img file was removed because it makes some bricks on some tv models.

After your advice, I tried the DNS version. I have no experience with that method, I must say. Following the instructions, I ended up with the TV saying that there is no new firmware available.
If I use another method telling me to use the image and the image is removed, what do I have to use then? Is it possible for me to create such an image file myself with a cross compiler?
So far I tried the Internet@TV version (the second one, because I should have firmware 3009.2 and the first one should only work with firmware older than 3005.1), the Hotel Mode (the first one is broken because of the file, the second one seems to have had no effect, the third one needs the image) and the DNS version. So far I did not have any success. :-/

if i understood it right, the hotel-mode-hack without usb disk is only the manual way to create an usb flashdrive that will look just like the one from the usb-image methods in the end...
