Hello, I am writing to seek clarification about the possibility of having the Root permissions on the smart tv model UE40F6800 with firmware T-MST12DEUC-1113.0, and above all know the benefits that could be drawn.

In the design section "F", there is a guide to get permission from Root, is also valid for the 6800?
Then talking about the benefits that could be drawn:

- Can I install any type of webcam?
- What are the how to install new drivers? Via Telnet?
- Oscam since I read not to be compatible with my model, there are possibilities in the future? say ... that this would be the reason that the more I push to get root permissions.

It is not possible yet, as you can read in the oscam thread.

As I wrote in the subject of my post model is Samsung UE40F6800 and lets you record directly to USB.

Should work, I've the same firmware and I'm root.

Did you follow the guidance described in the section of this forum?

Referring to the drivers, I wanted to know if getting permissions from the root can install a webcam other than those already supported samsung. And then how do I install them? It can connect via telnet access?

I read the discussion on oscam, and I hope there is some good news soon.

I have the 50 inch version of this TV. I want to be able to install apps from multiple regions but at the moment am unsure if i should try rooting it incase I brick it.

My firmware is 1115. I see other people have managed to root it on this firmware but with a different F series TV, would it still apply to the f6800?

So has anyone successfully "rooted" it?

Well i succesfully rooted my TV. it was on firmware 1115 and is the 50 inch f6800. However if i region change it, the samyGO widget gets deleted
