Hello to all,
recently i have been contemplating on swapping out my mainboard from my UN46D6000 to a mainboard from a UN46D6900,
has anybody done this to gain the 3d and the web browser?
will it be an easy swap or would i require more than just mainboard?

if lucky - jus replacing mainboard is enough. Check if LVDS connector socket is same, then definitely no need for another parts.

i checked the lvds cable connector looks the same the only thing that i see different is the touch panel connector.the 6000 connector is smaller and is a white color
the one for the 6900 is a little larger and is a black color.

update.
so i successfully swapped the boards from un46d6000 to a un46d6900
only issue is that when the tv turns on it is horizontally flipped and colors are off.
the fix everytime turn on tv is got to 3d switch it to 2d->3d and then back it restores picture.
there is also no 3d viewing.
but there has to be a permanent fix that i need to find out.

search for hwflip on/off and pannel autoseting, here on the forum. I'm on phone, search is a little bit complicated you know

After some searching..
Figured out the T- con is a little different on the 6900 than the 6000.
So I placed an order for the t-con board to see if it gives me 3d and fixes the horizontal flip on startup..I think everything should be plug and play as the connectors are the same. Will update on my findings.

OK update:
Attempted to replace the T-Con board from a D6900 onto my D6000
They are not compatible!
The ribbon cables that go to the led screen are smaller on the D6000 than they are on the D6900.
So I'm basically stuck with the T-con from my D6000..
The image is OK but like I mentioned on the previous post, there is a ritual I have to do every time I turn on the TV.
I wonder if the power board would help if I swap out from a D6900?..
Any comments are greatly appreciated!
