How to get ROOT access on F-series without develop account (IP synchronization):

1. Install Skype widget and run it:
a) select 'Sign In'
b) select 'Sign me in when Skype starts'
c) select 'Sign me in when TV powers on'
d) exit Skype
2. Power Off the TV.
3. Remove all USB drives from TV.
4. Using PC unzip 'SamyGO_usb.zip' to the USB drive root.
5. Power On the TV.
6. Go into Smart Hub applications.
7. Click 'More Apps' tab at the bottom.
8. Now insert the USB device in the TV slot.
a) dismiss 'New device detected' if popup.
b) SamyGO widget will automatically be added to existing list
9. Start SamyGO widget
a) press Enter, then again (just keep the onscreen procedure)
b) exit SamyGO
10. Power Off and power On TV
11. Wait 2 minutes.
12. Check FTP connection to TV on port 21.

After restart there will be no SamyGO in the applications list, root access will still work.
Removing Skype will remove SamyGO root access also.

This is for normal ROOT procedure on F-series (just a little dummies aware):

1. Install Skype, made autostart etc.
2. Put to USB drive file 'patchSamyGO.zip'
3. Install SamyGO.zip by apps synchronization (develop account)
4. Run SamyGO
5. Follow onscreen instructions.

Root access is active as long as SamyGO is installed.
Skype do not work, as usual.

The file "pathSamyGO.zip" is incomplete, the file "skype" in the folder "patchSamyGO/data" not exists.

Can you verify for us?

I have tried hundreds time to root with the SamyGo.zip which was posted on the first page.
Even if I got "Rooting is succesful", I could not connect to TV (UE46F6500 v1114.1) via ftp.

The SamyGO_usb.zip works!
Also the CI+ CRM recordings, which are normally impossible to watch on another PC,
It is now possible.

m2tk, thank you, i tried the SamyGO_usb.zip method and it worked nicely.

UE39F5370 with latest firmware 1116.0

It's enough to set it to AutoStart or run Skype each time you want have an access.

Anyone tried the simple new rooting method from m2tk, dated 24.Nov. 13 in this thread with samyGO_usb.zip? Results?
