Questions (noob be gentle)

firstly hello to all and a happy new year (first post). Ive recently chose to get rid of my LG and converted to a Samsung F9000...
after playing with the Smart Hub, become a little bored and frustrated that it doesn't do what I want it to do... after a search I stumbled on this site and the forum and after a lot of reading, a little wiser but also a little more confused and as such have a few questions.
My goal is to install apps (widgets) from other countries, id like to install the usual UK, AUS, US apps (BBC, Netflix, FOX etc) into a german set. which after reading the forums is possible.
it seems the key is having the SammyGo installed, flipping the region to the desired county EXPORTING the apps and importing them to the desired region, from your PC running as a server..
Question: it seems everyone is doing this over and over again, would it not be possible to run an apache server on the net, point the smart hub to an internet address, on which all he apps (widgets have been uploaded) and users install directly from there ? also do the apps autoupdate or is this a manual process?
also I assume that due to the apps being outside the region or origin, that a VPN workaround is needed to consume the content, or better yet simple smartDNS might work ? anyone confirm ?
thanks in advance
