I have a Samsung LN37C550 bought in the US and now I moved to Australia,
does anyone know how to make the tuner works in Australia?

Would software upgrade from the current T-TDT5AUSC-1016 (LN37C550) to T-TDT5DEUC-1024 ( LA37C550) solve the issue?

firmware wont help. What is television standart in Austtalia? It is same as in US? Possible here is no tunnr support., you may need external tuner.

Televsion standard in Australia is PAL vs NTSC for US.
Not sure tuner in motherboard is specific for NTSC, or can it accept PAL?

In the service mode, the current tuner setting is DRX3900J, I have tried changing it to other options: SEMPA081/ SEMPT082, but it doesn't pickup any DTV channels.
The current country setting is USA, I have also tried changing it to other options: PANAMA/ None, again it doesn't pickup any DTV channels.

Just thought there might be other options in service mode to test if I change the firmware.

replace to mainboard from LExxC550/570 and you get tuner with pal support. There is no pal on your tv.

Problem is the connector layout of the mainboard is different and it won't fit in my back panel, so it appears the only solution is to get a external set top box.
