I have the abovementioned tv and it seems that I hve bricked it trying change the settings in the service menue. However I tried to unbrick same as mentioned in the forum. I think my eeprom is corrupted. I tried to locate one (same type) and was not successful. The electronic shop gave me somewhat same (not identical) rom. Even the number on the chip is different. However they said that it could work. Is it ok if I use that rom to my tv.

why do you think your eeprom is corrupted?

When I checked the pins its indicates a voltage of 3.3 in all pins.

I think this has happed while I am trying to short the two pins(I guess)

i don`t think so, Perhaps you did procedure not as described or you`re not patient enough. Or maybe you did procedure on wrong chip?

I don`t know ANY of TV which could be "burned" because of eeprom reset procedure. Just maybe if you saw flame or smell going from mainboard.

There wasnt any flames or smell came through the main boqrs. What shall I do now. I have already removed the eeprom from the board. Shall I replace it with the new one and see. And how long should I keep the tv on till the tv writes the memory to the Rom. Thank u for the prompt replies sir.

sir , plz help my tv is samsung ua32d5000, in service mode by-mistack i click on MICOM update near about 5 minute displayin please wait, i manually unplug the ac cord, reconnect ac cord, no standby lights complete tv dead ,, plz plz help.. i fisrt time user on samygo.tv... plz help
