UE55F7000 issues with recording as PVR

Hi all,
Hoping someone can help, having a few issues with my new UE55F7000... basically I was advised (incorrectly it seems) that using the built in freesat tuners, it can record two programs at once.
Seems it can only actually record one program whilst watching another.
I need to be able to record two at once, so decided to revert to my existing Humax PVR (HDR-500) but the TV doesn't recognise the model number, so I can't control it via the IR blaster, and none of the 'smart' features work.
If I just switch the source to the Humax, it works fine but I wanted to use the TV's guide, and remote etc...
Any help gratefully received, as the only option I've got so far is to replace the PVR
