Shorter timeout for entering channel

Hello there.
I hava a question regarding the time needed to switch from one channel to the other.
Now when I press let's say the 1__ key TV waits few seconds for entering other twos i.e 12 or 132.
Is there a way to speed up key sequence?
Like if I press 1 it will switch to 1, if 1 2 it will switch to 12 not waiting for third number.
Now it takes definately too long.
