F8000 update to version 9999

Hi, I set the OTN server type to development, and updated my F8000 from T-FXPDEUC 1118.0 to 1119.2
Now it's running 1119.2 (also no root possible), but now I get a update to version 9999.
Anyone knows whether it's safe to install this one ?
Maybe it's something like the 0000 versions, so I might be able to downgrade to 1115 ?

Probably version 9999 is latest possible :) It most certainly won't give you and ability to downgrade :)
Don NOT EVER install firmware upgrade!!!! :)

Yeah I know about not upgrading but since it was already at 1118 when I got it, what can I do ?
Is there any progress in getting root access for 1118-1120 ?

It is probable that later this year something will be out... Not sure about this. I don't own F:) One thing you may be certain updating is (almost) always a bad idea:)

I did some wireshark while going to the update menu and found this link:
http://az28248.vo.msecnd.net/firmware/t ... eaders.dat
SWU-OU_T-FXPDEUC-9999-130225
The OUITHeaders.dat is some kind of salted file of 1296 bytes, maybe someone can find out what it is ?

I found this link on a Russian forum:

I looks like version 9999 will give you a bricked tv.

yes, that`s truth, in original they write, only mainboard replacement helps if you upgrade to T-FXPDEUC-9999. Do not ever install firmware upgrade from samsung...

This is always a good rule but I guess that this 9999 is not from Samsung but from someone who has interest in bricking Samsung Smart TV.
In Europe this 9999 is not available.... ...hopefully it will never be...
