I quite agree, apart from being an ugly blueish screen, it's eating power and sits there being quite useless. To get rid of it and build a replacement is a job for someone who is ready (and capable) to dig deep into exeDSP. Not me, I'm afraid.

there is a samsung screensaver that appears after a while without touching the remote. It's the Samsung logo moving in the screen. But i don't know how to set the waiting time

It's in the Media Play Setup menu, but the minimum is 2 hours. Might not be necessary to dig too deep to find that and patch it.
