Hi there,
I have a Samsung UE39F5300 with samsung wireless dongle. There doesn't seem to be an allshare source on this TV. Is it possible to enable this somehow (service menu or widget) or get (some) of the functionality? I'm basically after screen mirroring with Android phones.
Thanks.

Smart View/Screen mirroring should be natively supported on your TV model...

Thanks for the response. I always assumed it would be supported as well. Although I can use the Samsung smartview app (on Galaxy S4) to control the TV and send the TV image to the mobile, as well as send youtube clips to the TV from the mobile (with code linking), other functions such as allshare are not available. From the manual:
Screen Menu > Network > AllShare Settings > Screen Mirroring
Displays mobile device screens on your TV wirelessly. However, Screen Mirroring is only available with mobile devices that support AllShare Cast.
" This feature is not available on LED 5300 series.
Can it be enabled in the service menu or elsewhere? I don't see why it shouldn't be able to work as the spec of the TV is the same as most other models.
Any tips are welcome.
thanks

TV specs don't lie

. "Clone View only" means that you can clone TV image to phone, but not the contrary. I don't think there's anything to do about that. Simply unsupported.
However, it seems there are some options about cloning on a similar model service menu:
viewtopic.php?f=62&t=6885&p=55690
Code: Select all
Control ->
Cloning -> ..
Clone TV to USB -> ..
Clone USB to TV -> ..
...
But I'm not sure anybody ever investigated about this, and if it's really related to what you're looking for.
You may use Miracast dongle, for example. Or if your goal is to share media, you can use an Android software casting through UPnP/DLNA, such as BubbleUPnP...

This "clone" is about copying settings

Nothing to do with "cloning the screen"

For cloning screen (to tv) I would recommend apple tv or even cheaper raspberry pi
