Hi
Does anyone know the details of the non-volatile memory of the Samsung UA65ES8000 Series 8 65 inch 165cm Full HD 3D LED LCD TV? Where the OS and settings etc are stored? I can't seem to find it anywhere. An SSD on the mainboard? And, how could I access it (to clone it)?
Many thanks to anyone who can help
Nina

OS is on some kind of eMMC chip, and most settings on EEPROM. You can access filesystem by rooting your TV, but there's, strictly speaking, no way to "clone" them (at least no easy way

)

Thanks zoelchat! Do you know where they are physically located? What I need to do is make bit-by-bit copies of these chips, also known as cloning. Typically you need to remove the chip before you do this, and use specialist equipment. Rooting is not an option as I want to examine the contents of the chips as-is.
Also you wouldn't know where the cache and history of web browsing, Skype, etc are stored? And how do you know what you know, do you have any resources you can recommend where I can learn more?
Many thanks

Depends on TVs, usually somewhere on mainboard

. If you're skilled enough to "remove" them, you should easily find where they are.

Most history/cache can be accessed on rooted TVs, I can't tell you exactly in which files/folders though.

I've learned everything at school, unfortunately I didn't keep my lessons and I've almost forgot all
Obviously there are no resources about that here (or I don't know where), who will unsolder flash chips from mainboard? Google might be a more helpful friend
