Hi
first post and I'm much more of a car guy than an electronics guy - Sorry

I have a UN55H6300AFXZA. In the US it comes with the PVR disabled and I want to enable it.
I have read through the E and F sections on PVR and also the wiki, using the info posted there on PVR I upgraded my samsung tablet to send out the factory and 3 speed signals and I accessed the general service menu through mute, 1, 8, 2 pwr and then sent the codes for factory and 3 speed (first time scared the crap out of myself as the screen just flashed white, red, green, orange over and over but a bit more reading got me out and I pushed the buttons faster after that)
I found the PVR enable command line and changed it to yes from no and I turned off the OTN and exited the menu and restarted the TV.
I plugged in a small hard drive and tried the record button but it still says disabled.
I know I followed the E and F directions so I must have missed something for the model H TV - can anyone point me in the right direction please and preferably with very simple words as I am a noob at this.
thanks very much

What you described worked on my US f series, you do know that recording only works with the TV (tuner) source right?

Ah ha ~ no. Does that mean that it wont record suff from my cable box (actually dish) going into the first hdmi slot but only over the air stuff through the antena in connection?
I didnt pick up on that in any of the posts I read.
would it record if I used the coaxial connection from my decoder into the antenna input on the tv?
cheers
Barri

Here it is ATSC format but yes, whatever the built-in tuner can handle.

Thanks very much guys.
my tv's coaxial connector is marked as antena input. Ill stick an aerial outside and hook it up and try again.

well your INPUT on TV doesn't matter much IMHO what matters is the OUTPUT. Most devices output on "antenna connector" analog signal ;)
