Extended Service Menu

Hi everybody!

For starters, I had no idea where to put this so I made a go here.
If it's in the wrong section, please do move it.

Let's get to it then.

How to access the Extended Service Menu for Samsung TV's.

It's taken me a few hours to access the extended service menu just because of lacking Android apps for configurable IR Remotes. I have however efter much digging found one that works, link is provided below.
The app that I used is "Smart IR Remote AnyMote" and to my knowledge it should work with any
android phone.

Download it here: http://speedy.sh/EXpS4/Smart-IR-Remote- ... -2.2.0.apk and just install the APK on your android phone.

I have also taken the time to configure the IR remote, which should work for
most models (NO GUARANTEE). You can download it here: http://colortiger.com/shared/r/rHKfi
The configured remote contains both the Factory button and the 3Speed button.

1. Download and install the APP.
2. Download and load the IR Remote, have it ready.
3. Place your TV in standby (shut it off) and press the combo: INFO, MENU, MUTE, POWER on your remote control to enter the Service Menu.
4. Open up Smart IR Remote and first press on Factory, then 3Speed.

I am warning you though, don't mess around in the service menu if you don't know what you're doing. I will not take any responsibility for what you do with this information.

All the best!

Discovered this wonderful app about 1 month ago, and noticed that even built-in Samsung remote has a "Service Menu" button (didn't try though). And many "unexisting" buttons on original RC of several devices.

However, maybe it would be needed to advise that APK above is a PAID app  (there's no free version)

URL is of type anymote://shared/rHKfi and has to be opened only on device where you already installed AnyMote APK.

Have problems:
I'm using the Samsung SM P605 (Tablet Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).

On the TV UE40ES8090 after entering the service menu (TDM) I press "Factory". A red line with the SV version + TV model appears at the top of the screen, while the TDM is gone. Pressing "3speed" after that, the TDM is reappearing, but the "expert mode" is still grayed out.

What I'm doing wrong?

Theoretically, you should be quick enough to press FACTORY+3SPEED for not to have time to see "red blinking line" at all. Anyway "Expert mode" is not expected to be unlocked. New options are amongst already existing menus.

You are correct and the app is working in the way that SOME of the otherwise not available functions now can be seen.

Nevertheless, my big disappointment is, that "Expert mode" and some other functions still are not accessible. Any hint how to accomplish that?
