Hi to all guys!
I bought Yesterday the Samsung tv ue40ju7000txzt
the screen size is a a bit too big for the distance view in my room... (before I was using a 32 inch for the same distance view)..
So.. there is a way to reduce the visible screen size maintaining the correct aspect ratio?
example: I want reduce the tv size from the original 40 inch to a 37 inch... so I can see the the tv image in a more small size

Nothing more technical than cycling picture size until you find a suitable mode, or not...

Don't you have some "Smart View" picture size mode? Here it does exactly what you expect:

No idea if they removed this "useful" feature on J

is what zoelechat posted really what you want?
AFAIK we have never been so deep in the sw-frontend/framebuffer to change things there, so if it isn,t built in already it wont be there so fast.
you should really consider moving back to 32" if you find 40" is too big for you room thats why they sell the TVs in different sizes
