Guys, I saw the same problem when first plugged Exlink into wrong output on a TV. I know it sounds too easy, but ensure that you plug it correctly :) Again...i don't have enough time, but i will try again and make sure i plug in correctly. Because i'm busy with my work i did not have the time to try and build my own cable.

Okay, i will open the RS232, look at the wires and maybe (if needed) take some pics. I'm glad i can still follow you

I did the loop-back test en while in Putty i typed the 26 chars of the alphabet, this screen is the result of that.

Working exlink cable is the key to success.

I will try that tonight, wrong cable good bee the issue. I'll search for a way to do a loopback test and report back...

This is what i get now

okay thanks, will try again, the setting i used:

Serial Com1
Speed 115200
Data Bits 8
Stop Bits 1
Parity None
Flow Control None

I connected the Ex-link cable, started Putty (admin mode) and turn on the TV (with the remote) I see a lot of activity like the attached image in previous post in my terminal screen. After that, the tv is on and if i use my remote it gives this 'rubbish' on the Putty-terminal If i try to type 'debug...

So, this result is not good is it?

I think the fact there is some 'activity' is okay, but what know?
