Whoever figured this out is an absolute genius! Worked perfectly, could not get it to work with a laptop, but just plugged it into the jack of my Galaxy S2, turned up the volume and worked like a charm! Just to answer my own question, I've moved and hooked up the sets and they both work for SD channels fine, however the freeview HD channels do not work as the UK format is DVB-T2.

Moving countries
I have both a UA46D7000 and a UA55D6600 smart tv's and am living in New Zealand and I plan on moving to the UK in a few weeks. I know that New Zealand uses MPEG4 for their freeview, and England uses MPEG2, so does anyone know if the DVB-T tuner can handle both formats?
