On your Synology, did you add the folder root you want to share in 'Control Pannel / Media Indexing Service / Indexed Folder Tab' ? (the names might slighty different because mine is not in english). Yes, that works, but i don't need the mediaserver, i want simple network-folder access without file...

With the Diskastation Mediaserver I can't see all files that are located on my Diskastation, only music, photos and videos.

Hi!
I'd like to root my new BD-E8509S for easier NAS usage (Synology DS210j).
The DLNA is driving me nuts, my old LG HR550s isn't that good, but with my NAS its nice to use.
I just want easy file access without DLNA, can somebody help me?
