just a thought.. if you have an android phone, you could try connecting to a 3G service with the phone and activate the teethering (use your phone as a wifi router) and then set up your BD player to connect via your phone.

Downgrading is not possible. But offcourse if someone could hack that old firmware it theoreticly is possible. If your HT-D6750W never was upgraded, it probably doesnt have any cinavia protection enabled. They included the cinavia protection in one of their updates.
