Just wanted to report that the downgrade for my BD-D6500-AZ was a success. I did use the clear all settings first. Hopefully this forum will help out many more people that were screwed by Samsung and Cinavia.

Unlike some people here, I did read before posting. I also have a BD-D6500 and unfortunately I upgraded the firmware to 1025 before I discovered this piece of crap called Cinavia on my player and figured out what it was. Samsung sucks for crippling people's working devices, and this will be the last...
