Re: BD-ES6000 Region Hack

After I succesfully built a max232 circut I've just reached the debug console with 20089999 code. But I couldn't find the region hack part. Do you have any idea at that point? ==================================== [ TOP Debug Menu] ------------------------------------ 2 : Platform Print Setting 4 : O...

Re: BD-ES6000 Region Hack

With this cable, I can send firmware to satellite receiver via RS232.
I also try to connect two PC with this adapter. (I use USB port for one and RS232 for another) and they can talk via Putty terminal without problem.

Do you have any guess?

Re: BD-ES6000 Region Hack

I think the same but when I connect Tx and GND, I can't catch any human readable info on my Putty screen. All data is garbage. GND is everywhere. places for bolts, metal around usb sockets and so on. Just noticed GND_CN1 at right bottom corner, use it. GND means GND, you don`t need to catch exact pi...

Re: BD-ES6000 Region Hack

Edit! I think, I found some signs of serial port. In this photo, here is TX and RX signs. Could they be what I am looking for? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/23762254/BDES6000/IMG_6807.JPG (I marked the points with red rectangle but it is very thin, please look it in full size.) Re: Making FaNet Cable

In fact, the level of the signals in the middle is not important : both ttl or rs232 are ok. I thought same thing. As you cable is working between 2 pc ([EDIT]ie what you type in putty on 1st pc is displayed in putty on 2nd pc and vice versa), it is electrically good. Yes, this is totally true. Whe...

Re: Making FaNet Cable

Actually, I will leave from home for three month and I have these stuff and I've considered it can be possible. This was the reason why I'm using RS232s. But if it isn't possible with these adapters I will order usb2ttl cables and deal with BD later.

Anyway, thank you for your help.

-Yes, there is no error when I click Connect. -There is no popup or banner when I click on key_info -The program doesn't hang when I click any button. Re: Making FaNet Cable

I tried command promt and also FaNet app for send INFO and FACTORY signals but it doesn't work. (PC <-> USB TO RS232 Adapter <-> cross TX-RX with a cable...
