I see that this is for the H series, but I wanted to know if I can get it to work on an E series. Particularly an UN55ES6500 it shows a pvr option in the advance service menu. Does anyone know if the soccer or news panels can be turned on within the Service Menu, without changing the Smart Hub region?

OTA, or direct coax cable. If you are using a cable box connected by HDMI, it should already have a PVR, yes? Also the PVR function is available without upgrading with the Evo Kit. Check my old posts.

Menu > System > Accessibility > High Contrast > On.

Smart Hub panels are now black.

Just hooked up my Evo Kit tonight, and I can confirm for any interested owners, that if you enabled PVR, through the service menu, that the Evo Kit keeps those settings. You also do not loose any recorded content.

No answer here, but I would love to see a service menu fix for this. There are some who don't want to root, or load up on Samygo. The channel info is good for about 12 hours or so, so the Samsung EPG would be great to turn on. I know from activating the PVR on mine, that there is no Gemstar listing,...

Firmware for your HT was updated to 1029.0 in August. According to Google, lots of folks had an issue with newer blu rays.

I'm sure this has happened to everyone at least once. Stuck buttons on the remote. Check for a stuck button, take your remote out of the room, or put it in a drawer, and use the volume button on the unit.
