Re: 46D7000 cycling problem corrupted flash I think.. Help

Thanks for clarifying, juuso! So the only hope we have (i see) is to flash partitions from TDM.
BTW i think juuso meant to set '0x51D0 to 00 (debug)' ;)

That's really interesting:
How many seconds do you have from TV start and first log until TV goes to reboot?

Re: 46D7000 cycling problem corrupted flash I think.. Help

I updated my previous post. Toggling partitions may be necessary too, well see. Could you do the steps (1 to 4) i suggested you + changing the rs232 bit also? :)

Re: 46D7000 cycling problem corrupted flash I think.. Help

isn't 0x51D0 rs232 debug enable ? , Shouldn't I have to change 0x51D1 ? On my Soc Eeprom I have 0x51D0 01 So RS-232 is set to UART mode or I'm mistaken ? Should I switch this to 00 Debug ? 0x51D1 01 So watchdog is on , I have to switch this to 00 Sorry, my fault! Of course you have to set 0x51D0 to...

Re: 46D7000 cycling problem corrupted flash I think.. Help

Hi dssenceme, very well described! First let me tell you that i'm no pro in this forum, but played a lot with my tv to get it back to live (mostly with the help if juuso - big THX once more) and did some firmware modifications. Also my tv is an C7700 which differs to d series. But i will try to help...

Re: [SOLVED] Forced "toggle" to repair bricked TV?

@dssenceme First i propose to create a new thread for your problem. I have no D series experience so far, but are you sure that there is no exlink plug or something available? In my case it is within the vga plug. (IIRC i got the watchdog bit in my C7700 SoC EEPROM bit changed via I2C access.) @devs...

Re: [SOLVED] Forced "toggle" to repair bricked TV?

nroberto13, did you already try to replug all connectors on the board? (be careful for high voltage!!!) You also could try to store the tv in a could/warm place and try to use it again. Just try to power tv on again and again (with long breaks in between to let tv cool down). One more time working w...

Re: D series SoC eeprom research

The problem you describe there sounds really bad :/ I think juuso is right: Even if you got some exlink debug output that would most probably not help you. For example my tv prints a lot of error message during boot by default so figuring out which chip is defect will still be hard. Also reflowing i...

Re: D series SoC eeprom research

@nroberto13: From experience of my C7700 i can tell you that micom EEPROM (used for toggling partition sets) is powered in tv's standby. So you should be able to unplug tv from power to stop cyclic reboot and replug power --> tv is now in standby and not yet in reboot loop. You were now able to acce...

@sectroyer: Did you describe this anywhere? I couldn't find anything. If you didn't yet, could you explain in detail and the background please?
