Re: UN46B8500 Firmware question
Telnet worked. I used Putty to connect to port 23. No problem. Asked me for login, I typed "root". It said: -sh: id: not found but it let me in. I could list with "ls" and change directories. I used some UNIX commands I learned 15 years ago

Re: UN46B8500 Firmware question
I only get to go into the widget setup screen when I change the DNS server IP address to 149.xxxxx There I have a reset button, which I hit, and reinstalled all the widgets through normal Internet connection thinking it would at least fix the dead remote control syndrome. It didn't. All the widgets/...

Re: UN46B8500 Firmware question
Something funky is going on here. When I disconnect the network cable it still goes into the widget section, with a yellow triangle in each snippets corner indicating there's no connection. The second I go into the widget gallery and try to move up or down all controls freeze, I'm forced to pull the...

Re: UN46B8500 Firmware question
Thank you for your response. I understand what you're saying 100%. I do read, spent 2 days on searching / reading. It's not that easy to put the puzzle together, there are so many options / variants. This firmware works, the other doesn't, this works with that, but that doesn't wok with this etc. An...

Re: UN46B8500 Firmware question
Wouldn't it be more straightforward to just get this patched 1008 firmware from you, instead of running widgets, installing dump programs etc.?juuso wrote:If you really need 1008 (for what?), i have dump of this firmware, you can flash it (modified as well) to tv via telnet.
