Re: J Rooting.
It's ok, 2nd letter tells region: U E = Europe, last letters are not important. Now are you sure about 1488? (never heard it existed :D ) I'll check again back home, but I did it yesterday and for sure it was 1488. I came back here to look in the firmware update threads and, as you say, no one seem...

Re: J Rooting.
Ok, I'll donate this afternoon when I get home and will try to test it as soon as possible. I imagine that if it does not work TV will just keep working as usual, no? I mean, nothing wrong would happen...

Re: J Rooting.
Just to be clear. Does root work on FW 1488? My home router broke two weeks ago and I had to use my ISP one. It seems that my 40JU7000 updated then
And by reading I sometimes find that rooting works on FW < 1490 and others that the last supported FW is 1480. Mine is 1488...

Re: 40JU7000. Slow network?
@Borygo77. I've tried with three cables that work fine with other devices. I'll try some others, but it doesn't seem that's the reason. Could you please tell me what are you connecting the TV to? I mean, which brand and model is your router/switch. I'm using a LinkSys WRT1900AC which is great for an...

40JU7000. Slow network?
After trying a lot of things I've come to the conclusion that the problem with my TV and 4K is due to the slow network spped of the TV. The TV is connected through ethernet cable to my router, nad testing Internet speed gives about 8-10Mbps (DL), when any compuetr connected to the same router gets t...

Re: Anybody streaming 4k?
I'll try Kodi, but it's a pity not being able to use the integrated Plex app. It works fine when not 4K. Anyway, I'm going to try using a switch instead of my router to connect the server to the TV. I hope it helps.
Thanks Borigo77 for the info and regards.

Anybody streaming 4k?
UE40JU7000. I'm trying to stream 4K movies to my TV, but with Plex buffering happens all the time. I'm using Plex on a FreeNas HP Microserver, with a 4 core Xeon E3-1220 and 12 GB, that I think it should be enough.
Anybody is streaming like this? Any other way of doing it right?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Hello World :)
I've read every single message on this and many other threads. The post you point to says that every firmware is suitable for root when updates are blocked. What I asked is if I "should" update before root is released. I don't know if rooting has been tried with last firmwares (there's one for only ...
