Nobody can, they blocked on server :P Bye bye :P
What is this - are you happy they blocked the app on the server?

And no, somebody can for sure, if the Skype server thinks it´s the Android app that tries to sign in...

Re: Skype app will not be available

It also stopped working on 2 TVs in our family some days ago. It appears Microsoft is now locking the TV app out of its Skype servers. Is anybody here able to find out how Microsoft detects the TV app and maybe patch the app to spoof a newer version (maybe an Android version) of Skype that is not re...

Re: Latest Software which allows "OTN support off" setting?

OK, maybe the question if too difficult. Let me be more specific: Does the T-MST12DEUC_2111.1 (which seems to be a good firmware, but only slightly newer than my current 2107) still support "OTN support OFF" in the service menu in order to block automatic software updates? Does anybody kn...

Re: Latest Software which allows "OTN support off" setting?

Thanks - glad to get a response finally!

So basically you?re saying, already the T-MST12DEUC_2111.1 is likely to have greyed OTN? Can anybody confirm this?

Re: Latest Software which allows "OTN support off" setting?

Haha, I need Skype on that TV, and it appears that newer software versions after 2107.1 have solved the audio problem. So I just want to know which newer software versions still allow to set "OTN support OFF", i.e. "OTN support" not greyed out yet...

Latest Software which allows "OTN support off" setting?

Does anybody know what is the last software version for the F series (i.e. UE40F5570), which still allows to disable automatic software updates via "OTN support"? Why? My current software is T-MST12DEUC_2107.1, I have manually reinstalled Skype but I have one annoying bug: For incoming cal...

Re: Skype app will not be available

OTN support was set off ... Does this mean, disabling OTN is not sufficient to block updates? So, disabling the URLs in the router is a MUST? What is the minimum requirement to block APP updates, i.e. the removal of Skype? Reason for my (stupid) questions is, that my parents router does not support...
