I successfully rooted the HT-F9750W last week - i'll have a go at patching cinavia and mounting an NFS share as a fake usb stick tonight.

Which is the last firmware for HT-F9750W that still supports rooting? I am on 1011.1 and wondering if there is any point in upgrading to a later version where it is still possible to root. ditobazz, does the cinavia protection kick in on the HT-F9750W also when playing from DLNA streaming source and .mkv from USB or only from the blueray discs? also, I would like to know whether this system is capable of playing dts and other surround systems sounds from a DLNA/usb source? (.MKV/.AVI)...

The message you would get if the DTS module was not loaded (but the movie was ok) would be "Audio codec not supported".

So try another movie file. Some few video codecs are not supported. (The movie file could be corrupt too, of course)
