Re: Whoohoo: with new FW, Telnet working, can copy Ext to Games
So what about this new generation of firmwares that require signed updates; what do we know about the signature? Is it a self-signed certificate or issued by some official certificate authority? Do they use the same cert for all tv models? I could dedicate my computer running day and night (Intel Xe...

Re: Volume control for external audio output
Would not the volume +/- commands be sent through Anynet+/HDMI-CEC to the amplifier? I suppose that at least a Samsung amplifier would intercept the signal and adjust the volume. I haven't bought a new ampilfier yet still on my surround-amp from 1998 so no HDMI connectivity in this one so no persona...

Re: SamyGO DVD ISO Tool
Of course it would be nice to have player functionality for dvd and blueray images in iso and filestructure format availiable but the obvious solution is of course to rip those DVDs and BDs (even if you just have downloaded them as files and do not own the actual discs) to some lossless or almost-lo...

Re: A DTS pass-through idea - could it work?
I've been experimenting today, but so far I haven't had any luck. I've just tried muxing a bit of Xvid video with an old DTSWAV file I made years ago, but the receiver only got PCM from the TV. This may be because it was 44.1kHz. I can't find any tool for giving a DTS file a WAV header, and everyth...

Re: audio playback visualization or black-blank
Completely blacking out the screen is possible via the normal menu, atleast when "watching" radio channels. I think it's under the "Energy Saving" menu. Yes i found it earlier today, a pity that it hidden far away in the menus.... On my very old Bang & Olufsen i could just p...

audio playback visualization or black-blank
I would like some way to either turn off the picture completely when running in audio play (either radio channel recieved over digital /cable / satellite) and also in media player audio-only mode. Second option I would love is to have some audio visualizations like in winamp (preferrably more than o...

Re: Send Wake-on-LAN from TV
but yes the reverse would be cool, to make the tv start with a magic packet sent from your computer or NAS; concievably from a scheduler.
is there any way to shut down the tv from the telnet login? possibly via /mtd_boot/MicomCtrl xx i guess.

Re: TV internal memory mount
Any particular reason why not?but i wouldn't do that
If i remove my physical usb stick (for whatever reason) the virtual usb disappears as well.
Not that it would happen too often. I'll see if i can make it mount without a physical usb stick connected.
