What happens if you (from powered off state) if you press the keys to start the service menu?

Would not the volume +/- commands be sent through Anynet+/HDMI-CEC to the amplifier? I suppose that at least a Samsung amplifier would intercept the signal and adjust the volume. If i remove my physical usb stick (for whatever reason) the virtual usb disappears as well.
