Re: BD-D7000 service manual
SDP1004 bootstrap (page 62) looks interesting; a lot of input pins for boot config.. I wonder what they are for exaclty; perhaps there are some other boot choices (not including the obvious OneNAND vs eMMC flash selection). E.g., I suppose there will be an option for booting from SD card (shame the ...

Re: BD-D7500 service manual
I can see that internal WiFi module is connected through USB0 (--> page 54). Do you think it is possible to remove WiFi module and connect an internal USB disk/memory instead? Why not. But better to be careful, as for internal USB port there is no TPS2553 chip included for overcurrent & reverse...

Re: BD-D7500 service manual
What Micom chip does this thing use? MC80F0448 from ABOV Semi (previously: MagnaChip, previously: Hynix) http://www.abov.co.kr/eng/product/info/view.php?dev=mc80f0448 It's not MC 08 F0448, like stated in Samsung block diagram - apparently service manual author made a typo.. Heck, Samsung really ove...

BD-D7000 service manual
http://elektrotanya.com/samsung_bd-d7000_za_sm.pdf/download.html mirror: http://www.multiupload.nl/EVWIWEHIHK I think it's the first publicly available SM for Samsung-SoC based AV devices since A-series, which does contain actual, detailed schematic diagrams ;). Interesting one, does explain/confir...

AFAIRC, Samsung warranty period for TVs used to be 24 months in most EU countries, including Poland (but only 12 months in UK & Ireland).skudi wrote:I have it almost two years, and i believe that the warranty was for one year.

Re: uBoot for ES-series?
There is no mmcblk0p0 in my ES8000! This is actually normal; you still can use /dev/mmcblk0p0 as mmc.restore argument. So, how should I dump the onboot bootloader? Currently there is no support in Samsung DTV & BDP kernels for eMMC boot partitions dumping, only for flashing. While patching kern...

Re: D series SoC eeprom research
For example (i use static IP for interface), if we have bricked TV and our rs232 is not " debug ", or service menu for some reasons is not accessible in normal way, to have rs232 jack switched to debug is enough to write 00 at address 51D0: I have to say it's a little bit surprising for m...

Re: [SOLVED] Forced "toggle" to repair bricked TV?
I did find an SDA_NXC, and SDL_NXC right under this chip, http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h173/prairie_2006/photo-1_zpsb27fa17f.jpeg This is Nexell chip (hardware video encoder, for Dual View/Smart View) any use? No, not really. Micom EEPROM should read ATMLH046*02*; those three pads marked red b...

This is more promising candidate, IMO; personally I'd try to change this byte first. Let's hope there are no checksums of any kind involvedjuuso wrote:00->02->00 at address 0x18

Re: SamyGO project logo - WIP
no comments... Nice one :). Question regarding fade-out effect - was it already present with E8XXX TV original boot-splash logo, or was there some kind of additional tinkering involved, to achieve such result? I don't think it's an cam-related artifact, it's looking too good for that.. I'...
