Q Series does accept powerOn by serial. Checked yesterday. Thanks for your help!

No special needs. Just need to turn on/off the tv for homeautomation purpose. Infrared is no option, because of latency and the same IR code for on/off.

if that fails, i need to move over to turn on the device by hdmicec. But that was my last option, because i already tried to control the device by cec and it doesnt recognize my cec adapter. little bit of hope is left.

Thanks for the quick reply. "Samsung Instant On" is already on. Quickly Power OFF or similar is not visible there. Maybe it depends on my selected language which is german.

Hey guys, got also a HU series tv and tried to get exlink to work. For now, everything works fine, except the power on command. It seams that the device disables the serial interface if its powered off. Is there any way to make a standby mode on the serial interface of the tv. for example by the hid...

This depends on J Series, not Q. I´m a little bit worried to destroy the EX-Link Port with RS232 instead of 3.3v ttl signals. For example.

I need to control a Q(7) Modell by IP or serial link for homeautomation purpose. As i understand right, its actual not possible to do that by EXlink, can anybody confirm? Does the Q Models accept WOL Commands to turn it on? I also tried a lot by HDMI CEC on HDMI1, but the TV doesnt accept these comm...
