I managed to obtain 7 versions of firmware spanning from 2014 to the latest v1400.1 None of them make the hardware successfully work good enough to stop the flash/flicker when freeview hd channels change from 1080i to 1080p and vice versa. I have the horrendous flash/flicker when freeview HD changes from 1080p to 1080i and vice versa. Funny enough we only noticed it when the firmware updated to 1400 last year .After months of rubbish from Samsung support I used the resources from here to downgrade to 0000 and have tried versions,1240 ...

Ok I have downgraded to T-GFPDEUC_0000 .does not find any new firmware on usb so cant update to any other ,no channels scan in so baisically its stuck ,can anyone help ? I have 2014 UE65H8000ST that has had 2 new mainboards fitted to stop the 1080i to 1080p changeover flicker ,as soon as the firmware updates to 1400.1 the flicker comes back , Samsung say its noting to do with the firmware and keep throwing new main boards at it .
