Re: D550 brick
The garbage that I've seen in your logs may be a problem with the PuTTY settings or the USB adapter. But you can still read some meaningful characters and know what you are doing. If you can't really see anything more, the sequence is: 1198282 - Unlock serial input 20089999 - TDM 10 - Factory debug ...

Re: D570/D579 enable PVR / unhide SubOptions ?
PVR is only possible on D5xxx TVs with firmware T-MST5. If your TV doesn't have SmartHub then it probably uses T-MST4.

Re: So, I have access to TOP and shell on my T-MST4 LN32D550
(Did you forget an attachment?) Rooting might be difficult. Hotel clone to USB is the only way to get a (partial?) channel list with my TV and it only has ethernet for firmware and DLNA. No SmartHub or Internet@TV. Linux-friendly partitions on USB are also not an option. TV looks for RFS, FAT, NTFS...

Re: 1080p through VGA connector
It's listed as non-pnp because for some reason the PC is not recognizing the TV's EDID. It happened to me once with the same Intel chipset. There's a workaround at http;//software,intel,com/en-us/articles/custom-resolutions-on-intel-graphics (F...ing newuser restrictions). You may need to connect th...

Re: Samsung TV/PC Monitor LT27A550EW/EN
Hi guys! So, I got a Nokia CA-42 and proceeded to make a ExLink cable. My first step was to download drivers, and while doing this, I found that this cable uses a ARK3116 controller (and not a PL2303 as I was expecting). It does not have Win7 drivers, so I booted to XP and installed it normally. Aft...

Re: Samsung TV/PC Monitor LT27A550EW/EN
Hi there, I have a model of the same family (a LT24A550) and I'm also searching for info about it. It has a T-MSTMDEUC firmware (mine came with version 1002 preinstalled). I didn't find anything about this firmware anywhere. I downloaded the firmware update from samsung (couldn't post samsung link d...
