I can`t clearly see labels of all chips, but i can guess either IC206, or IC801 could be proper candidate to try.

p.s. what`s on backside of mainboard?

Might you can do factory reset one more time? Optional - might your SoC eeprom became damaged during blackout? might you need replace it (desolder old one and solder in new empty IC ?)

strange chars means possible wrong connection speed. If you can establish full console, them might command toggle 1 or toggle 0 saves yourBD player.
But if this does not help i`m in a doubts you can restore your by fw upgrade briced BD... search for spare mainboard...

Nope. This is dead end of service. Pls use hospitality root and experimental libFWDowngrade.so for downgrade (even no big chance for success, but who knows..)
