Well that did not work as expected, let me rephrase this, "please post your Television type, firmware version and if it has SoundShare or not"
--------------------------------------------------------------
TV UE40ES7000, Firmware 1008.2, SoundShare: No
Thanks in advance, MnCC

SoundShare
Hi,
I was wondering in what firmware version SoundShare was introduced ?
My UE40ES7000 is currently on: 1008.2
I want to upgrade to the lowest version possible.
Thanks in advance, MnCC

Re: [Testing] Update2: E series widget -autostart w/o USB
Hi, Thanks for the help (seems my router has no g only mode), but the problem lies with the TV. I have some cheap android hardware and it plays 8gb+ mkv files over wifi. Tried to speed things up, but i cant stop/start the ra11n0 device, my netcat breaks and then i'm done, cant get back in. sysctl -w...

Re: [Testing] Update2: E series widget -autostart w/o USB
Hi, I think the problem lies with the wifi, other devices (phone/laptop) pull 7Mb/sec (60+ mbit) easily over the same link. The first 70Mb are pulled in with 2/3mb+, then the connection drops to 200kb. It does this for FTP aswell as NFS. Installation was over USB, i've resetted smarthub and the tv-s...

Re: [Testing] Update2: E series widget -autostart w/o USB
Sup, Never updated my UE40ES7000, out of the box firmware 1008. Installation works: - ssh - telnet + netcat + ftp Virtual USB does not detect servers, but after change server=<ip> in 03_03_nfsmount.init it works ok. Awesome! (3gb+ files over wifi do not work properly, the speed is low for some reason)

Try Twonky its a DLNA server: http://twonky.com and can be setup on your PC. If you have issues with codecs and containers, most of them are not supported and its probably better you go for an all-in media player such as XBMC. This unfortunately cannot be installed natively on the TV and requires yo...

Re: Buggy DLNA or poor Wi-Fi
Try unencrypted wifi with mac-filtering (boosts performance) otherwise you could use Twonky DLNA server.

Try Twonky DLNA if AllShare does not work.

Re: Clear history & 3d subtitles
Internal subs do not seem to work for *.mkv.
Only had success with *.srt files if it has the exact filename e.g:
- examples.mkv
- examples.srt
This also works for 3d movies quite well, if you want to use idx/sub try to convert them with subedit
Good luck
