Re: NEW MEMBER AND A NEW BD-E6100 TO HACK

Not sure, but perhaps: 1. Make a simple voltage divider on your receiving pin, using two resistors. (Check wiki link and use the calculator to get the right voltages.) 2. Try to measure some other UART output, like from insode your router or whatever. Try to verify exactly what is this cable you hav...

Re: NEW MEMBER AND A NEW BD-E6100 TO HACK

Okay guys, it's not enough to just "measure" voltage on the Rx/Tx pins with a multimeter, because a multimeter averages the voltage it sees, so if you see garbage and measure, you'll get a different result, than if you see "nothing"... I suspect this is a 3/5V voltage problem!

Re: How to dump the bootloader from UA65ES8000

Thanks! We'll need to parse that to get something readable and useful out from that hex... I'll see what I can do. Also, for Samsung based eMMC devices there is a hidden CMD62 that can be used to read and write eMMC firmware. This functionality is shown in some of the Android brickbug patches in the...

Re: ue55es8000

Ah, I only now think I understand what you're asking... If, you're on Windows, you also need to install Linux Reader to extract the diskimages... This tool allows you to read: Ext2/3/4 ReiserFS, Reiser4 HFS, HFS+ FAT, exFAT NTFS, ReFS UFS2 I have updated Wiki with this fact. Please, let us know if t...

Re: Mysterious USB related GPIO on ES-5/6 series

How do you know this? (It doesn't make sense in the context of dumping core to USB...)

Any success with noticeable improvements, when changing models code, please let us know what improved etc.
Then I'll update ES Wiki on the subject.

Thanks.

Are SHARP 3D TV's using Samsung Firmware?

Perhaps this is old news, but it seem to me that perhaps some SHARP LED 3D TVs are using Samsung Firmware. At least if you're looking in the ES Firmware 1029.0: ./T-MST10PDEUC/image/exe/resource/FRC3D_FW/SHARP/FIRMWARE_SHA.BIN I wonder what exact models that would that be etc... Anyone knows more ab...

Re: How to dump the bootloader from UA65ES8000

@xorloser: Two questions: 1. The eMMC contains it's own firmware, in some (possibly "hidden") part of the eMMC NAND space. At this point, I don't know if the TV processor bootloader you extracted, is part of this same space. Have you seen any signs of this? Would your method be able to extract it? (...
