Re: ExLink connection to Samsung T24E390

The strange thing is that everything works fine if I connect my USB to TTl and my self-made VGA ex-link to TV B300. It does'nt matter how many times I try (connecting/disconnecting ,turning off/on) every time is successfull. If I try the same thing in T24E390EW from the 1st moment I get continuous c...

Re: ExLink connection to Samsung T24E390

Possible exlink is hooked to vga. Then - only ttl 3.3v adapter is reqired. Yes but as I already wrote, when trying to connect through VGA, I start getting several characters in putty even though the TV is turned off. Using the same equipment for B300 (USB to TTL adapter & Ex-Link Cable for VGA) I g...

Re: ExLink connection to Samsung T24E390

Thank you for your answer, but there is no port marked as Ex-Link. There is only one 3.5mm jack besides the CI and is marked as "headphones" (it actually is not written as headphones but has the ICON of headphones). Could this be at the same time both ExLink & Headphones ? Is there a problem if it i...

Re: ExLink connection to Samsung T24E390

After doing some more tests maybe nothing is wrong with my USB to TTL adapter (PL2303). That is why: 1. Connection to TV-Monitor B300. Everything works fine and I get the full booting process in putty. 2. Connection to TV-Monitor T24E390EW. Using the same self-made Exlink Cable and the same adapter,...

ExLink connection to Samsung T24E390

Does anybody knows which is the Service Port for Samsung T24E390EW? Is it the VGA, as my older T19B300, or probably is the one marked as "PC/DVI/Audio in"? There is no other port marked as Service/ExLink (only another one with 3.5mm input for headphones). In addition to that I would like to know if ...

Re: External Wifi with Samsung T24E390EW

Just to answer my own question. The option "Ext Wifi" is when the TV has an internal Network Adapter and you want also a Wifi (as it tries to give 2 different MAC addresses). The option "Ext only-Wifi" is when there is no internal Network adapter. These observations were made before I switched off t...

Re: External Wifi with Samsung T24E390EW

For anyone who wants to get the Extended (Full) Service Menu there are 2 ways. The 1st and I think the easiest is while the TV is on to press "INFO" and then "FACTORY". If you use the 2nd method where TV is off you have to press INFO+MENU+MUTE+POWER and after some time FACTORY+3SPEED (2 times). If y...

Re: External Wifi with Samsung T24E390EW

I did, but everytime I turn off the TV it reverts back to its initial value for "NETWORK support" to "Not Support". Any other idea/tip ?

Re: External Wifi with Samsung T24E390EW

Thank you for the tip, but it didn't work. Obviously I have to change something else (parameter, etc). I can upload a photo of the menu just in case you can think of something (just tell me how to upload the image). Also at "NETWORK support" there are 2 options "Ext Wifi" and "Ext only -Wifi". What ...

Re: External Wifi with Samsung T24E390EW

Turning "OFF" the Watchdog does'nt help. Some years ago I managed to enable my Samsung TV-monitor B300 to be able to use an external Wifi dongle and DLNA (with Special Remote & exlink). I don't remember the exact procedure I followed. Do I need the exlink from the begining? As I remember I used it m...
