Re: Rollback on old FW...

In other thread I read: Hi mestief, actually "the only thing you need to do" is to: rm /mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_0_0 touch /mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_1_0 as this would force your TV to boot from its backup image which should normally still be 100% OK! However, this is easier said then done ... So ...

Re: Rollback on old FW...

if I have telnet access on the FW 3000.2 then why I have to do this: # python (we get to the console python)) >>> import SamyGO >>> SamyGO.xor( "exe.img.enc", "T-CHL7DEUC" ) >>> SamyGO.xor( "appdata.img.enc", "T-CHL7DEUC" ) You must decrypt (xor with "T-CHL7DEUC" phrase) exe.img.enc and appd...

Re: Rollback on old FW...

ji035453 were you brave enough? Not so far, but I am preparing for it. LEB650 3000.2 fw without linux knowledge So, my question that if I have 2004 FW somehow, then I will have an original TV with original features with firmware up/downgrade possibility? Yes, if we replace 3000.2 firmware with prev...

Re: Rollback on old FW...

Yes I know, I google this too :).
You can see it in my script above:
...
# rm /mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_1_0
# touch /mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_0_0
...

But it is only theory, I am still not brave enough.

Re: Rollback on old FW...

Ouch, there are all of these strings in exe.img:

Code: Select all

/mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_0_0
/mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_0_1
/mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_1_0
/mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_1_1
Which one is complementary to my actual PartitionSwitch file?

Code: Select all

/mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_1_0

Re: Rollback on old FW...

It seems that: 1) exe.img.8 is my previous exe.img version 2004.1, because it is binary different from exe.img.10 and contains string T-CHL7DEUC-2004.1 (exe.img.10 contains string T-CHL7DEUC-3000.2) 2) appdata.img.9 is at least different from appdata.img.11 # bml.dump /dev/bml0/8 /mtd_swu/exe.img.8 ...

Re: Rollback on old FW...

You can find it at your TV's /dev/tbml devices. At my B650, tbml8 and tbml10 are contains mtd_exe partitions. One is real image and other is backup image. You can use dd, cat and bml tools to copy that partition whic is already described on firmware dump article... Did you read my telnet session lo...
