Re: TV as remote control

Well, its just a fun thing. Although I haven't come across $5 remotes that do the thing I want (they cost a lot more), surely a multifunction remote can do it with less hassle. Its just that I can now stick to the original one.

Re: Play Video/Audio stream from console or on tv start

Just tested this on my Fedora 14 box: nc does not work for me, don't know why. Just a few of changes in the test code for soap messages by doodlecz (for SMS to the tv, see elsewhere in this forum) made it work. Brings satellite tv a bit closer for me, Thanks for the tip Arris. Will now try and get m...

TV as remote control

Hi all, To switch on my Home Theatre, I used to need two remotes: one for the tv, one for the HT. Got bored with that, so I bought a USB IR receiver/transmitter (www.iguanaworks.net) attached it to the Sammy and programmed it to start my HT when the TV gets switched on. Could have bought one of thos...

T-CHL5CIPDEUC 2008

Hi all, I recently acquired a second-hand UE40B6000, CI+ as part of a legacy. Yesterday I enabled wiselink etc. Now I would like to go a step further. For that, I would like to have a virgin version of the firmware: T-CHL5CIPDEUC 2008, dated jan. 15 2010, the .exe file. Does anyone happen to have th...

like this:

Re: Modifying Samsung BD-P3600 Firmware...

You might want to start with decrypting the firmware. Denny (card2000) has made some major steps in that area. To do so, you will have to have root access to your device first. That will take some tinkering with the hardware, and possibly a bit of soldering as well. Depends on the device. I don't ha...

Re: Modifying Samsung BD-P3600 Firmware...

Hi rallymoose, The firmware source you downloaded just holds the code for the kernel and a bunch of libraries to show images, play sounds etc. The code for the software that actually drives the entire device (app_player) is proprietary and not included in the source package. So the thing you want to...

Re: camd suport cccam gbox or mgcamd

I'm not sure what mgcamd does. Is it a CAM emulator? In a quick scan I found executables for SH4, MIPS and PPC, no ARM, let alone one that will run on a Sammy. See also this topic: http://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=108 The DVB-API is easily modified to have its device special files in anoth...
