Re: es5700 to es6300
Thanks! But could you export that to a text file in CSV or TSV format instead? That way we can put it on our Wiki. New shutter glasses uses BlueTooth whereas older ones uses IR. It could be that if you do such an upgrade that you need to enable the shutter transmitter, if there is one. (I don't know!)

Re: Samsung Email: Request to take down an article on your w
THAT is a perfect example of how Samsung manages to make themselves look like complete idiots! It can't possibly have been written by anyone with any education in law or copyrights. Probably written by some low-end technician or secretary, to show their boss that they "did something". It i...

Re: How to dump the bootloader from UA65ES8000
If you weren't going to run it then why did I waste my time looking into it for you?! Next time just say so from the start. No need to get insulted! Like I said, I'm going to run it, but not right now. That's all. And you certainly didn't waste your time, since it has been very helpful for me to un...

Re: How to dump the bootloader from UA65ES8000
Thanks! Very nice. I take no responsibility if it kills your TV :) However, I only have one TV and I need it for the next few days, so I'm reluctant to risk a brick at this time. Perhaps some other friendly TV developer who have more than one, could try this and confirm it works? I've looked at the ...

FTDI FaNet + SWD JTAG = TRUE ?
While I was skimming around the ES6xxx sources, I came across this: ./driver/mstar-X10P/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.c ... /* * First port on JTAG adaptors such as Olimex arm-usb-ocd or the FIC/OpenMoko * Neo1973 Debug Board is reserved for JTAG interface and can be accessed from * userspace using openocd. *...

Good find Dajojo!
Could someone confirm that these are FaNet compatible codes as described in that document?

Re: UN46ES6100 to UN46ES6500
This is interesting, because if we can upgrade ES5700 to ES6100, then we could probably go even further (to ES6500) with your success...

Re: How to dump the bootloader from UA65ES8000
Ok, success at last! The problem was "2". Looking at: shell>cat /proc/iomem ... 40200000-54afffff : System RAM 40225000-404f6fff : Kernel text 404f8000-4057da1b : Kernel data a4e00000-afffffff : System RAM ... we see that kernel "code" region is in what is referred as "Kerne...
