Still wasn't able to get my hands on one of these mainboards. :-( Any alternative to get PVR function going - like a board from a C6500 maybe?

Hello,
if upgrading from c530 to c650 works (I give it a try) - do i need a different remote control?

I've just tried to replace the mainboard on my C6000 series tv with a new BN94-03406M board. While the replacement process was rather easy, the board doesn't seem to work properly:

When I power up the tv, the picture is all distorted (see attached picture). After a couple of seconds the tv then shuts down and reboots again. This circle continuos until I pull the power plug.

Any idea what's going on here?

is here any output on Exlink cable? Like hardware incompatibility. Try to reset EEPROM, maybe it stuck on values for C6000

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this "exlink cable" you've mentioned. Do you have a link I can have a look at to get some more informations?

Hm, so I have to solder a wire onto the two pins of the EEPROM to reset the chip? Or is there another way to do this?

Before I do that, I'd like to make sure that the board itself is working properly. The BN94-03406M board is a replacement part for a UE40C6700 tv. Should that one work with my UE46C6000?

I also don't understand how some C6000 values should have made it's way to the EEPROM on the new C6700 board.

My fault, it isn`t. I was thinking something else.

But anyway, eeprom reset may help in this situation. You don`t need to solder anything, it is enough to make short circuit with some metalic toy at the boot time of tv.
