c6000 is 2D TV, but d6500 is a 3D. Do you think you can get the 3D only by changing boards?

Yes. I don't think. I know.

p.s ah, you`re talking about 3d. This i can`t confirm it will work, but despite this, other functional is ok.

I'm confused :?

So is C6000 -> D6500 (i.e. what tempinbox asked in 1st post) finally possible, or not possible?

I know a guy who wanted to convert his c6000 to d6100 some time ago - I said "forget it, most likely downright impossible, if possible it wouldn't be easy - not worth the trouble".
Now I'm not sure anymore.. Both models use 100Hz panels (with "dumb" T-Cons), FRC and/or 3D circuity is on the mainboards in both models, so in theory it may work, but will probably require some rewiring (or a lot of it - LVDS cable, power supply connector, IR & function connector - I wonder if "eco sensors" in both models are compatible ?). Very small chances for working 3D after the mainboard swap (IR emitter missing & 3D sync signal not likely present on the C6000 panel LVDS connector, and so on).

yes, sbav1, you`re right about everything including rewiring - this is definitely needed. The problem is - none reported about any test. So the answer is sill "not possible"...
p.s. maybe such upgrade could be possible if we change m/m together with t-con. The power supply board isn`t problem. Just keep in mind, the replacement of m/b+T-con+lvds cable is costly. Don`t believe this is acceptable.
