About samsung's NT CONVERSION option in Service Menu

Hello. My Samsung TV has the NT Conversion from the OPTIONS of my Service Menu by default.. Most of the similar TVs i saw on youtube and other search results show that it is OFF by default... Does anybody knows what this does?
