Thank you for the author. This method works perfectly for me on LE37B550A5WXXH (T-CHL5DEUC-2009.0)
But i dont understand final(4?) step. I finished step3 and get 2008, works very well.

You said: ""After reboot you get active firmware -2008 and 2009 as alternative.""

Where can i find 2009 as alternative firm? I would like to downgrade it with T-CHL5DEUC-1008, but where can i change 1008 to 2008 after flash it?

You have to understand few things:
1. Here are two firmwares on TV in different partitions
2. One is always active, one is always not active (we call it "alternative")
3. When you flash firmware, you flash it to inactive partition and then make this partition active at same time you set current active partition as inactive/alternative.
This is how it works. If you like to downgrade to 1008 (for what??? IMHO you don`t need it), you have to flash your alternative firmware partition with firmware you want, you have to use telnet connection for that (or exlink cable).

You change it in menu-help-software upgrade- alternative software. Be careful, be sure you`re flashing correct partition.

Yes, I see active firmware. It is 2008, but i haven't got alternative firmware(2009).
Is it possible?

The 2009 exists in hidden partition. It is not "alternative". It is 2009_step1 firmware you just got rid out. Forget it. You won`t switch it on - it is not present in your software upgrade list.

Im trying to roll back from T-CHL5DEUC_2010.1_Step2 firmware on a LE46B625R3W. During step-1 when opening "channel import/export" and choosing "USB to TV" I get the error message "Failed to receive. Check the usb connection and try again.". I've tried to prepare the USB stick on both Arch Linux and macOS (with e2fsprogs), with the same result. The tv has not been on a modded firmware before.

Also the dropbox link for the prepared files is broken, luckily I found them on a russian site, perhaps the link can be updated.
