[Firmware][MOD] ADFIX: DVB audio language switch

Changing audio languages (not Nicam, which could be switched from the Tools menu) is annoying : every time you have to go: menu-audio-audio language and select required language. Predefined audio language is not enough - here are some languages not in this list and also operators often does not translate audio descriptor for audio language.
Here we have pre-patched firmwares (including GMT patch), where problem is finally solved. Repeatedly pressing AD (or alternative firmwares - RED,TTX/MIX,FAV.CH,PRE.CH,GUIDE) button selects next available audio language.

Patches - not all listed patches are available for each firmware. Check descriptions.
  • SamyGO patcher v0.24: advanced mode
  • ArFixv2 - if present, no ContentLibrary game is needed.
  • fwver - changed version name, seen in service menu and info tab (for example: T-CHL7DEUC-2005.0(SGOv0.24,ArFIX2,GMT2,ADFIX))

  • ADFIX - quick switching between dvb channel audio languages by one button. (default button AD, if you don`t have this button on your RC, pls download another version of firmware)

NB. If you get two times same language, means, your TV brodcaster translates same audio language twice. This isn`t bug.
  • GMT timezone fix
    SpoilerShow
Menu-Settings-Time-Clock - TimeZone - new sub menu for proper time setting (system time and EPG) for all PANEURO countries (time zone 0...+12)

If your Country is set to Other, you have to choose Auto time zone. But this setting doesnt work in most cases, so it is better to select your time zone manually.

ADFIX patch uses non exported exeDSP function and this is why we can`t use COntentLibrary app to define ADFIX butto for audio language selection. Only way is to patch decrypted exe.img. This may be possible with any hex editor.

Using Polish DVB-T mux-s I got this same problem.
In TV menu I can set two preferred languages, but channels usually describe audio like:
  • Polish (set as default by TV) | always Polish lang | audio as stereo (PCM 2.0)
  • V.O. (i think this is shortcut of Original Voice) | language: Polish or Polish with audio description or original lang | usually audio as Dolby Digital / Dolby Digital Plus (2.0 or 5.1)
  • no described [similar like V.O]
Usually I prefer to use polish language audio but I like 5.1 audio.

Yeah, switching by accessing the menu is very annoying. C series TVs has ability to change DVB audio track by "Tools" popup just like changing Nicam or A2 tracks in B series.

Patched firmware is done. It does exact what i requested (AD button toggles DVB audio tracks and added numeration of tracks to OSD screen). Thanks to Russlan (Rvs) and Petr (gao_atc) from ixbt forum. Here is link to torrent.

Dif files exist for all prefeb firmwares. If anyone could make Content library game, your help is very appreciated...

Hi juuso, thank you for sharing the links :)

One question: ?are the firmwares patched with SamyGO 0.24 script using Advanced Mode?

I mean, Can I use SamyGO.sh and injectso with those firmwares?

Is there a way to integrate the audio swith into the patcher script so that you can integrate this feature into any firmware?

BTW: For switching the audio channels I use mybuttons (launched via the AD button). mybuttons then runs a script which browses through the menu switching the language. This takes a while but I won't have to do it manually with the remote control

Well, I followed the instructions here: http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/SamyGO ... re_Patcher after flashing but SamyGO.sh doesn't seem to be executed. I don't even have telnet access to the TV after booting.
To be sure I created SamyGO.sh file by copying the exact script that appears in the wiki without any extra lines added or other modifications.
I set the SamyGO.sh permissions to 755.

What am I doing wrong :?:

EDIT: I managed myself to get it working. Now SamyGO.sh is executed at startup :D
