Can be changed. I remember some one installed persian fontset.
But this is possible via modifying Appdata partition afaik.

Yes, you are right. Just needed to understand which functions used for that font. Than I guess we got perfect subtitles for our TV

simply replaced file with another.
So I replaced font /mtd_appdata/Font/shadow.ttf with tahomabd.ttf font from windows fonts
