Good work!

Sorry but, I don't understand.
Do I have to run the samygo application at every boot?
Isn't there a way to autorun it?

@mrmrmrmr
Enter ftp and disable nfsmount (rename to nfsmount.ini.dis).
For strange reasons (for me also) if don`t set server manually in this file, script slows down TV while scaning network for shares. After disabling this service restart tv and check telnet and webgui again. Also php file manager is available at

Code: Select all

Hi,
Thanks for this project! It sounds very interesting. I just have some questions:
- If I mount a NFS to virtual USB, does the TV put DTS/5.1 signals to digital out? Background: I have some mkv-files with 5.1 sound. If the device is connected to USB, the DD signal is just fine on digital out (SPDIF). If I play the same file via DLNA, the TV has only stereo out on SPDIF.
- In the wiki the information
"NB! All other your widgets, installed from local server before were deleted!"
is a little bit misunderstanding: What is local from my point of view? (IP mentioned in wiki 46.*.1*.*2?). Or just ask it in other words: Will any widget deleted, that was installed via Samsung functionality?
Thanks again and best regards!

thank you.

after disabling nfsmount as suggested; I am able to access web gui and web based file manager with the file.php

but on telnet I still get following output:

Code: Select all

: Invalid argument

: not found
doesn't ask for any user auth, btw.

how can I make telnet work ?

Also, how can I configure samba share and PVR ?

thanks.

edit:

I get the following output with samba.init command.Seems like cifs module is not loaded. But why ?

Code: Select all

@ init.d $ ./04_04_samba.init start
./04_04_samba.init: line 1: ?#!/bin/sh: not found
insmod: can't insert '/mtd_down/widgets/user/SamyGO/SamyGO/lib/modules/2.6.30.9/kernel/fs/cifs/cifs.ko': unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter

Strange issue. If you have ExLink, log could help to understand what`s wrong.

As always, we recommend to set watchdog to off in service menu.
Standby.

Code: Select all

INFO-MENU-MUTE-POWER
Control
SubOption
Watchdog - off
Be careful, don`t change settings if you don`t know what it does.

I think we together remove all issues step by step. :)

Post your full TV model and firmware please.

p.s. how do you connect to TV, i mean telnet? Here is netcat shell and it is not standart telnet like we all know.

Code: Select all

nothing changed here. Sound is as it was before by watching movies from USB device or oven upnp. Feature you suggest could be implemented in future.
"NB! All other your widgets, installed from local server before were deleted!"
Or just ask it in other words: Will any widget deleted, that was installed via Samsung functionality?
Means: if you already have custom widgets, instaled before using develop account, those widgets are deleted.
But you can save them and copy over ftp later.

Wdgets, installed via Samsung functionality still remain untouched.

I think I have the same issue as mrmrmrmr, using the web-based test.cgi, when I run samba.init, it outputs this

I have a UE46D7000 running firmware 001015. Thanks.

Ok, guys, who have problems like freezing/rebooting, try to re-synchronize widget again from server, disable watchdog in Service menu.

If problem persists, please PM me with sending your:
model
firmware
DUID (visible in SmartHub - Settings-Properties-More-Unique ID)
if possible, TV log from ExLink.

Thanks!
